Aesthetic inspiration was the trend of facets. It was (and is!) a popular trend found in high fashion, automotive, and housewares. At the same time, the design had to have mass appeal, to meet the need of the customer and fit the brand.

 

Resulting design is a combination of a familiar silhouette and soft facets.
